Ben Gross is the Online Editor at Messaging News. He writes the On Message Column.
Ben is a Senior Systems Engineer at the Linde Group, an IT consulting firm in Berkeley, CA. He is an Apple Certified Systems Administrator with a focus on deployment, management, and integration of Mac OS X systems and iOS devices in the enterprise.
Previously, he has worked at Google leading a project to extend Google Accounts to support multiple identities across Google services; at Microsoft, to provide strategy for identity management systems for the Microsoft LiveID team; and at the Highlands Group.
Ben received his PhD in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2010. His dissertation focused on the intersection of identity management, security, and user experience and how social, technical, and policy influences shaped individual’s behavior.
