Constellation Energy and Clearwell Systems--Real World Solutions
This week Clearwell Systems, Inc. announced that Constellation Energy, a provider of energy products and services to wholesale and retail electric and natural gas customers, is expanding the use of the Clearwell E-Discovery Platform. Constellation Energy owns a diversified fleet of generating units located in the United States and Canada, totaling approximately 7,100 megawatts of generating capacity, and is among the leaders pursuing the development of new nuclear plants in the United States. Constellation Energy’s legal and IT teams use Clearwell to lower costs, reduce risks and gain control of the entire eDiscovery process.
“The Clearwell E-Discovery Platform has enabled us to proactively address the eDiscovery challenge and we have been pleased with the results,” says John Corse, Associate Group Counsel at Constellation Energy. “As a result, Clearwell has become an important product at Constellation Energy in managing our eDiscovery efforts.”
According to the company, Clearwell E-Discovery Platform provides users with immediate visibility into case facts, significantly accelerating early case assessment. Clearwell’s review capabilities enable reviewers to perform one-click tagging, redact documents, apply reason codes, and verify redactions prior to production. Responsive documents can be produced or seamlessly uploaded into litigation support databases via EDRM-compliant XML and other major load file formats. In addition, the Clearwell E-Discovery Platform automatically tracks all actions on case documents throughout the eDiscovery workflow, ensuring a defensible eDiscovery process.
