Teneros Secures $20mm in Series C Funding
Teneros today announced $20 million in new funding in a round led by Goldman Sachs and joined by existing venture partners New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Sevin Rosen Funds, and STAR Ventures. This brings the total capital raised by Teneros to $44.5 million.
I looked at this product at Inbox last year. For Exchange users, especially those concerned with ensuring high availability or considering clustering, it’s worth investigating closely.
The company says it can provide 99.99%-99.999% (four nines to five nines) uptime for Microsoft Exchange, and notes that it requires only 20 minutes to install. Pricing for the Teneros of Application Continuity Appliance starts at about $15,000 for 500 users. Competitors include Neverfail Group, NSI Software, XOsoft, and Azaleos.
Ferris Research recently published a (paid) evaluation of the product that notes “Clustering failover for Exchange takes 5 to 10 minutes. Teneros is doing it in seconds, providing a much higher level of service for customers.”
