Three companies have relatively new products in this area, and all should be worth a look for Exchange administrators looking to improve uptime, and their ability to recover from disasters.

Lucid8 LLC of Bellevue WA offers GOexchange and DigiVault, which provide continuous back up of Exchange, some preventive maintenance on Exchange servers, and smart restore capabilities to let administrators restore an individual database, storage group or all databases. DigiVault licensing is provided on a per server basis, with product pricing based upon the number of mailboxes, starting at $695.00 for 25 mailboxes.

Xosoft’s WANSync for Exchange provides business continuity, disaster recovery, and failover solution. XOsoft also offers products to protect SQL and Oracle servers.
