Researcher - Chrome, Safari password managers need work: The New York Times covers the recent report by Robert Chapin on the state of password management systems built into modern browsers. Google Chrome and Safari had the lowest scores in the report, although all the browsers tested could use significant work. Chapin provides a web-based application to test your own browser.
Stop Sharing Your Twitter Credentials: A post Twitpay blog about the problems and hazards of providing your Twitter username and password combination to 3rd party services that add functionality to twitter. To be fair many other large online services have similar problems, the problem is compounded by the fact that Twitter does not yet have its own secure or delegated authentication or authorization mechanisms.
TidBITS iPod & iPhone: Easier AT&T Wi-Fi Connections with Free iPhone Software: Tidbit’s Glenn Fleishman writes about the Devicescape iPhone application that simplifies and expedites the process of logging into AT&T hotspots for iPhone users. The application is currently free and allows users to log in without using the SMS authentication mechanism.
