Amazon SimpleDB: a database server for the internet | Reg Developer: The beta release of SimpleDB is the latest addition to Amazon’s web services family that includes storage, computation, and queuing. SimpleDB adds a schemaless database with a similar pricing model to it’s S3 storage service. The service offers high scalability, high availability and is not relational, SimpleDB stores data as sets of key value pairs. Amazon offers what it calls “eventual consistency” meaning that there will likely be latency.
InfoStor - Mimosa adds disaster-recovery option: Mimosa Systems released a disaster recovery module for it’s Microsoft Exchange archiving system. Replication is available for local or remote servers.
