USENIX, the Advanced Computing Systems Association is a professional organization that puts on more than twenty conferences a year including the USENIX Security Symposium, Large Installation System Administration Conference (LISA), and the USENIX Annual Technical Conference.

I have been a member of the USENIX professional association for many years now and I pleased to be able to write that the USENIX organization has decided to provide open access for all of its conference proceedings. This means that all current and past papers are now freely available. Many important messaging related papers have been presented at USENIX conferences over the years. The USENIX association should be congratulated for releasing such a valuable collection of technical papers to the public at large. The collection may be accessed via the following URLs:
