Jobless Targeted

Another manifestation of economy-related spam attacks, reports the Proofpoint Attack Response Center, pertains to “business opportunities” as spammers prey on the jobless or those insecure about their employment. In March, the U.S. Department of Labor reported over 650,000 jobs were lost in February and the outlook remains grim. The “send us your resume” messages are a new tactic and the troubling part concerning career-related spam scams is that it appears to be working.
